I don’t know how I got onto this list (I think through a magazine subscription that I have), but I enjoy looking through the ideas that are presented each week in the www.myhomeideas.com e-mail that I receive. I am a big proponent of really being conscious of one’s personal living space.

I subscribe to lots of interior design magazines, and study them profusely. They are one of the cheapest vacations that I know of!! I am always amazed that I can subscribe to something for, say, $20/year, and have 12 intervals of entertainment, each lasting an hour or two! Much cheaper than most other forms of entertainment!

Looking at magazines takes me away–it’s a mini-vacation. It also brings me peace, as well as pleasure. Spiffing up one’s environments, whether it be a remodel or a simple flower in a vase, makes one feel refreshed, productive, and add spirit and soul to one’s life. At least, this is how it works for me!!
