I have been watching the BBC series “You Are What you Eat” and heard surprising information on the effects of food on stress, in addition to the common information on the effects of eating habits on health, feelings of well-being, self-image, and other factors that are enormously important, especially as we go through changes and may be plagued with self-doubt.

I was amazed at the results from this study that I received from the Center for Media Research (May 26, 2008 “Appearance and Weight Trumps Disease in Women’s Concerns”). It makes we think that we women should *change* our priorities!!

I love it when this happens!! I am a chocoholic and now I find out it is
good for me!! I have heard to try to only eat chocolate that is 70% cocoa
or more, which works well for me, since I prefer dark chocolate. If you do

Chocolate also helps with serotonin, which means it is a mood elevator!!!
What a wonderful discovery! I find that a bit of chocolate takes the ‘edge’
off nearly any depressing situation.
UCSF scientists are publishing sweet results of a study examining dark
chocolate’s effects on blood vessel function in healthy people. For the
complete story see: UCSF Today.
